Le Reve at Wynn Las Vegas

I know larger Vegas venues such as O and Ka outperform Le Reve in terms of effects and stage capacity, but Le Reve offers an intimacy all of its own. Le Reve is a compilation of ethereal scenes that are played out in circular stage that I can only describe with: o_o

To me, Le Reve was a fantasy bordering nightmare like Tim Burton's version of Alice in Wonderland. For the ladies, it's love story. For the men, there are scantily-clad women prancing around in wet clothing. There was also hot fiyah, a water stage and a seemingly never-ending stage in the space above the stage. In one particular scene, performers were being dropped into a ring of water from a good height. There were minutes where I almost crapped my pants.

I sat in the row behind the Shamu splash zone, giving me a clear view of the dancers' expressions and stage elements. However, it was too much to take it and found myself trying to watch 20 different people at the same time. I'd enjoy from a distance if I go watch it again, which I wouldn't because that's a month's worth of groceries, but I do recommend it.

    Set before the show.

    Set after the show.

There was a performer portraying a devil and several portraying minions and a satyr. Immediately after seeing a performer dressed as an angel, I thought the show was going to be an epic battle between good and evil. But it wasn't. Lulz. :-(
